An empty corner is the hardest thing in a room to fix. Furniture is too large, a small object disappears, and a real plant needs light that corner almost never has. A tall faux tree is the one thing that reliably solves it, which is why the pieces in this collection are floor-standing rather than tabletop, and why height matters more here than any other consideration.
Getting the height right
Artificial floor plants around 150cm to 165cm are the safe middle: tall enough to register in a standard room, short enough not to crowd it. Our 154cm cymbidium orchid and 165cm bird of paradise sit in this band, and either will fill a corner without dominating the space around it.
At 180cm, artificial trees stop being decoration and start being furniture. Both the white magnolia and the light pink cherry blossom stand at 180cm, roughly eye level, which is exactly why they read as focal points rather than filler.
Above that, 6ft artificial trees indoor need a room that can take them. Our 190cm pomegranate and 175cm lemon tree want a clear corner and a decent ceiling; in a low room they look cramped rather than generous. At the other end, the 95cm orchid tree and 100cm lemon tree are compact enough for a console, a wide shelf or a kitchen island.
Flowering trees
An artificial magnolia tree indoor is one of the few faux plants that genuinely works as a focal point, and the reason is counterintuitive: it is the bare branch between the blooms that does it. That gap gives the tree a drawn silhouette that holds against a plain wall, where a dense plant would simply read as a mass. The cherry blossom takes the opposite approach and is better for it. Light pink blossom covers the branches densely enough to read as a tree in full bloom from the other side of a room, with a textured trunk keeping the base convincing at close range. Between the two you have the choice most people are actually making: architectural or soft.
For a luxury artificial orchid plant large enough to stand on the floor, the 154cm cymbidium is the piece. Upright strap foliage gives it structure below the flowers, so it holds its shape even where the blooms are sparse, and it does the job of a palm without the visual weight. Fruiting trees
Fruit brings a colour that greenery cannot. The lemon trees, in 100cm and 175cm, carry bright citrus among glossy leaves and work particularly well in kitchens and dining rooms, where the yellow picks up warm tones already in the room. The 190cm pomegranate carries deep red fruit on fine open branching, which suits interiors with wood, brass or terracotta rather than cool greys.
A large faux plant for a hallway
Hallways are where these earn their keep, because an entrance combines the two conditions that kill real plants: no light and no floor space. A tall, narrow faux tree needs neither. Magnolia is the best fit, being slim at the base and opening higher up, where there is nobody walking past.

Every potted plant here arrives in a plain nursery pot. That is deliberate rather than an oversight: it keeps the price down and lets you choose a planter that suits your room instead of accepting whatever the manufacturer supplied.

Where they work
In a living room, a tall tree beside the sofa or behind an armchair does more for the space than any number of small objects. In a dining room, keep it to one side rather than near the table, so it frames the room instead of competing with what is on it. A bedroom takes the softer flowering trees better than the architectural ones.
